چکیده
Aims: To evaluate the antiplasmodial activity of a trisdimethylamino pyrimidine derivative synthesized by indirect methylation p-nitrophenylacetic acid via substituted amine or amide against Plasmodium berghei NK65 strain in an vivo berghei-Infected mouse model.
Methodology: berghei-parasitized suppressive model Albino mice was adopted for evaluation. The schizontocidal compound evaluated 4-day test. All treatments (test sample, standard control and blank) were administered intraperitoneally to mice. Parameters such as rectal temperature, packed cell volume, survival time parasitemia measured.
 Results: 10, 20 40 mg/kg doses 2, 4, 6-trisdimethylamino-5-(4´-nitrophenyl) elicited statistically significant reduction (p < 0.01) level treated dose caused 97.19% suppression mean 22 days compared with 97.64% 24 respectively group (artemether-lumefantrine combination, 5 mg/kg). restored volume baseline (~39.8%). A dose-dependent decrease temperature observed all treatment groups. However, only 10 control.
Conclusion: strong has further provided insights into potential lead discovery antimalarial agents.

متن کاملAntiplasmodial Activity of Ethanol Extract of Vernonia amygdalina leaf in Plasmodium berghei Infected Mice: in vivo study
The antiplasmodial activity of crude ethanol extract of Vernonia amygdalina leaf in Plasmodium berghei infected mice was evaluated. A total of 20 mice were randomly distributed into five groups of four mice each. The infected mice were treated immediately after inoculation with 200, 400 and 600mg/kgbw of the extract respectively. Group 4 (Positive control) was treated with standard drug (Chloro...

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES The present work was undertaken to evaluate antiplasmodial activity of ethanolic leaves extract of traditional medicinal plant Ajuga bracteosa in Plasmodium berghei infected BALB/c mice along with its phytochemical screening and acute toxicity test to support its traditional use as a remedy for malaria. METHODS Plant extract (ethanolic) 250, 500, 750 mg/kg/day was eval...
متن کاملIn vivo antiplasmodial activity evaluation of the leaves of Balanites rotundifolia (Van Tiegh.) Blatter (Balanitaceae) against Plasmodium berghei
Balanites rotundifolia (BR) (Van Tiegh.) Blatter (Balanitaceae) has been used in Ethiopian folk medicine to treat malaria, despite the lack of scientific validation. Therefore, the present study was carried out to evaluate the antiplasmodial activity of 80% methanol leaf extract of BR in mice. Both the 4-day suppressive test and Rane's test were employed. Three extract doses (BR100 mg/kg, BR200...
